Anti-racism single launch: 6th March

by John Bownas | 06 March 2006

Everybody's Welcome to the Hooley!

What connects The Magic Numbers, Lethal Bizel, Hard-Fi and Shane McGowan? Well the answer is London-Irish rockers, Neck. Lead singer Leeson used to play with Shane in The Popes, and Neck used to count two of the Magic Numbers (Romeo and drummer Sean) amongst their band-members. The Numbers are just one act amongst many - including grimester Lethal Bizel and those down-to-earth Hard-Fi boys - who are speaking out in support of Neck's forthcoming anti-racism single, Everybody's Welcome to the Hooley! - a rousing slab of Pogues-meets-The Clash that is nicely timed to coincide with St Patrick's Day as it comes out on 6th March. Neck will be supporting the Dropkick Murphy's in Boston before heading on over to SXSW for St Pats Day itself.

Released on 6th March, the new single Everybody's Welcome to the Hooley! by Neck needs to be in your CD collection or on your MP3 player...or for those of you in DJ land it really should be on your playlist***.

If you are still wedded to physical music then follow this link to HMV and for just 2.99 (with proceeds going to support Love Music Hate Racism) you can order the CD (or vinyl if you so wish!). Alternatively just pop into your nearest HMV or Woolies store and shout at them if they don't have any in stock...

If you are a Napster user then just follow this link as the track is now available (along with a fantastic Rock Against Racism playlist - go to CD Compilations under Playlists - compiled jointly by VF, Neck and Militant Entertainment).

Dedicated to the memories of Stephen Lawrence and Anthony Walker we want to make sure that this song continues to wave the flag of Rock against Racism ...and if you are a fan of The Clash or The Pogues then you'll love the track anyway...we promise!
