Beautiful Days 2006 confirmed

Beautiful Days 2006 will take place from 18-20 August, once again in the small but perfectly
formed Escot Park, Devon.
The family festival, the brain-child of hippy fiddling favourites The
Levellers, will celebrate its fourth year in 2006 - although organisers have confirmed the capacity of
the event will not increase from its current limit of 10,000.
The 2005 event was one of the most successful and enjoyable since the festival's birth, with Michael
Franti & Spearhead, The Levellers and a revived The Wonderstuff headlining
the three-day shindig.
There were also great sets by Eliza Carthy, Flogging Molly,
Eat Static, I Am Kloot, as well as a theatrical performance by Rev Hammer detailing
the struggle of the real Levellers in the English Civil War.
The only major downside was that scores
of festival fans got clogged in heavy traffic congestion around the site - a problem organisers have vowed
to look into for next year.
Expect The Levellers to playing again in 2006 (it is their festival after all) but the
full lineup will not be confirmed until spring of next year.
In the meantime you can revisit this year's event
