Grohl back on drums at Reading!
United Kingdom | |
27 August 2005
Grohl swapped places with Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins on 'Cold Day In The Sun' towards
the end of the set, which intersperced songs from recent album In Your Honour with fan-friendly hits spanning the band's career.
Later
on, he poured out his feelings for the festival, gushing: "I fucking love Reading so much!
I've been to so many festivals but this is the only one I love."
He then proceeded to lay into rival events,
declaring: "The others suck! Glastonbury is for smelly hippies, V is for the clean people,
the fucking yuppies. The Reading festival is for dirty fucking rockers who come out to have a good time. Take it from your
Uncle Dave I've been looking forward to this for a very long time."
We at VF can vouch for his inaccuracies on at least
one of those criticisms.
The Foo
Fighters close the Leeds Festival tomorrow (Sunday).
