Get in to Reading and Leeds for Free with Oxfam!

24 July 2002
Since 1993, hundreds of volunteers have helped Oxfam raise over £120,000 every year working as stewards at Glastonbury Festival.
Each
volunteer works 2 or 3 eight-hour shift over the 3-5 days of the event in return for free entry to the festival, a private
crew camping area with clean showers and loos, plus free and subsidised meals and drinks served at the Oxfam crew marquee.
Steve Jenner, the founder,
editor and MD of Virtual Festivals says, "Stewarding for Oxfam has always been the best way of experiencing
Glastonbury - I did it 6 times before starting VF, and it's fantastic to hear that people will be able to enjoy the experience
at The Carling Weekend. As well as the free ticket and nice camping area, it's just nice to be able to put something back
into the festival, whilst doing something worthwhile for the world by supporting Oxfam."
