Stereophonics added to Live 8
United Kingdom | |
02 June 2005
The concert takes place on 2 July and aims to draw attention to world poverty. Tickets for the concert are free and available
through a special text lottery. The text number will be announced at 8 a.m on Monday 6 June via all UK radio stations.
Other
acts already confirmed to play include Coldplay, U2, Madonna, The
Rolling Stones, Keane, and Razorlight.
Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones said "We all really wanted to be involved in the Live 8 gig. It doesn't take much
for a band to sing a few songs and help bring awareness to a much bigger issue that'll help so many other people suffering
in the world, so that's why we are playing. Long live rock n roll!"
