Scissor Sisters out of Glasto running

The statement from Scissor Sisters read: "We're not playing Glasto this year. As much as we'd like to, it's sadly not going to happen. Don't believe what you read in the papers.
"Come see us in Ireland (our only shows that you can still get tickets to). Lots of love - Ana, Babydaddy, Del, Jake and Paddy."
The band had been rumoured to replace Kylie, who has been forced to cancel for cancer treatment. Other
rumours include Stevie Wonder, Faithless, The Cure, and the latest,
the unswallowble prospect of Celine Dion! Fear not, it's only a sick hoax ... we hope.
A sensational
Stone Roses reunion has also been touted, following comments by ex-guitarist John Squire, who told Time Out
that his former band should step in.
He said: "The plan is to make a ferocious guitar record on my own. And then
put the Roses back together. Kylie's pulled out [of Glastonbury], hasn't she? Maybe we should do it."
Michael
and Emily Eavis have both stated they'd love the Roses to reform especially for Glastonbury, but the chances of all four members
settling their well documented differences and getting a set together in less than a month are highly unlikely.
Ian
Brown is already confirmed to headline the Other Stage on Sunday night.
