Billy Bragg and more for Meltdown

Meltdown 2005 takes place
at London's Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall and is this year currated by Patti
Smith. Previous hosts have included Morrissey, Lee Scratch Perry, and John
Peel
The festival comprises a number of evening performances over a two week period, with
Yoko Ono, Dresden Dolls, Steve Earle, John Frusciante,
Marc Almond and Sinead O'Connor among those previously confirmed.
A number of new
events have been added. The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Ed Harcourt
play Queen Elizabeth Hall on Saturday 11 June. Rachid Taha and Patti Smith play the
Royal Festival Hall on Friday 17 June. Billy Bragg plays the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Saturday 18 June.
As do Television on Monday 20 June and Tuesday 21 June. Tinariwen play the
same venue on Saturday 25 June.
Tori Amos has joined the bill for the 'Songs Of Innocence' night at the Royal
Festival Hall on Saturday 18 June and Cat Power has been added to the 'Coral Sea event' in the Queen
Elizaqbeth Hall on Wednesday 22 June.
