Rocket over to the Spanish mountains
Spain | |
07 April 2005
Krafty Kuts, Coldcut's Matt Black, Freestylers and
Babyhead are a few of the big names on the bill, but it's some of the sideline attractions that sound the
most enticing, especially Paka Uncredible and his amazing fire breathing horse. Click here for the full line-up.
The Rocket Festival 2005 is a three
day festival of contemporary and traditional music, performance, and sculpture, set in a valley near Antequera in
the deep south of Spain. It takes place over the May Day bank holiday weekend, 28 April - 1 May.
Local artists and performers will be working alongside guests from across
Europe to create an international festival with a strong Andalucian influence. There will be an assortment of bands, DJs,
3D artists, VJs, live dance acts, and audio visual productions hosted by Ninja Tunes' Zen TV, as well as
circus performances and workshops, a skate and motorbike park, kids area and spiritual havens.
One of
the organisers Marcus Clements told us: "The site is looking georgeous and tickets sales are doing really well, so it's
going to be a great weekend for everyone involved. We would recommend that those wanting to come book their flights soon as
they're going up by the day."
Flights to Malaga are currently priced around £100 and the cost of a weekend pass
is just £35. Click here to buy tickets. VF will be
there to acclimatise back into summer festival mode in the best possible way - we suggest you join us!
