Dinosaur Jr and Megadeth for Download!

Dinosaur Jr and Megadeth will make history at this year's Download festival (for almost opposite reasons) - and there are four more bands that have just been announced for the Friday bill...

Biffy Clyro, The Used, JJ72 and My Chemical Romance will also play the festival, it has just been announced.

Megadeth have stunned fans by revealing that the Download slot will be their last UK gig ever.

However when Dinosaur Jr play the festival, it will be the band's first UK show in a decade and the first time founding members Lou Barlow and J Mascis have shared a stage in almost 15 years. They have also been confirmed to play the Mount Fuji Festival in Japan.

Download 2005 takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, from 10-12 June. Black Sabbath, System Of A Down and Feeder are headlining. CLICK HERE for more acts, info, and tickets.
