Prodigy and Chemical Brothers for V
United Kingdom | |
01 March 2005
It will be the only UK festival appearance for The Chemical Brothers, unlike The Prodigy,
who are expected to play at several - including confirmed slots at T In The Park and Oxegen
and probably Glastonbury.
The Prodigy will play
Weston Park, Staffordshire, on Saturday and Hylands Park, Chelmsford, on Sunday with The Chemical
Brothers playing alternate days. Both acts will join main stage co-headliners Scissor Sisters
and Franz Ferdinand as part of what will be an 80 strong line-up.
Oasis and Maroon
5 are hotly tipped to be the other main stage headliners. CLICK HERE for more rumours.
Festival director Bob Angus said: "With The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers now confirmed to headline
the second stage, we are headed for a really stellar line up for the 10th anniversary. We pride ourselves on putting
on an unbeatable live music experience and V Festival 2005 will not disappoint, especially as we are still to announce yet
another unparalleled main stage headline act."
V Festival 2005 takes place on the weekend
of 20-21 August at Hylands Park, Chelmsford (CLICK HERE) and Weston Park, Staffs (CLICK HERE).
