Global Gathering 2005 takes place on 29-30 July at Longmarston Airfield, Stratford Upon Avon.
The
dance festival has stuck to the traditional one-day formula since it started four years ago, but it now hopes to
out-do rivals Homelands and Creamfields by expanding into an unprecedented two-dayer!
The
full line-up will be announced on 1 April, but one man who will definitely be there is Pete Tong, who will
be broadcasting his Radio 1 'Essential Selection' live from the site.
According to organisers, the Friday (29
July) will have an emphasis on cutting-edge live acts with a broad, eclectic range - so it could include anything
from Mylo to The Go! Team.
A spokesman said: "Whilst remaining in the realm of
dance music, Global Gathering will be inviting some of the industry's most revered live acts to join us for for the Friday
night show and help create one of the most diverse musical programmes of any UK event."
The Saturday (30 July)
will follow the more traditional formula of superstar DJs, alongside a host of theatrical and extravagant side-line attractions.
Weekend
tickets will be available, with camping included in the price. A small number of earlybird tickets going on sale on 11
March. Organisers have yet to reveal the ticket price or a general release date.
