The reunited three-piece have already been confirmed to play Coachella
in the States, apparently thanks to the efforts of event boss Paul Tollet - who last year helped mastermind the Pixies
reunion.
Cocteau Twins split up in 1998, abandoning an album that was three quarters complete before vowing never
to make a record together again.
Having never ruled out a live return however, it appears they are now ready
for another pop at the festival circuit and, according to internet rumours, they feature highly on the wishlist of
T In The Park boss Geoff Ellis.
Last year, native favourites Franz Ferdinand
and Snow Patrol received some of the biggest cheers from the predominantly Scottish crowd
at Balado.
Having recently lost out on Franz after they signed an exclusive UK deal with V
Festival, organisers at T will be looking to secure the services of a few high-profile Scottish acts.
Last
week, it was confirmed that Travis will co-headline the Sunday alongside Green Day.
Foo
Fighters, Keane, The Streets, Razorlight and The Prodigy
are also among those booked to play. CLICK HERE for the full line-up.
