Snow Patrol and Embrace for IOW

Snow Patrol and Embrace have been added to the bill for this year's Nokia Isle Of Wight festival, joining R.E.M who were confirmed as headliners last month.

It all takes place across three days at Seahorse Park, Newport, between 10-12 June.

The Isle Of Wight Festival is now in its fifth year since it was revived after a 30 year absence. It cemented itself in festival folklore thanks to a series of legendary events at the end of the 1960's, featuring the likes of Bob Dylan, The Who, Free, The Doors, and Jefferson Airplane - culminating in 1970 when 600,000 hippies descending on the island to see Jimi Hendrix perform his penultimate concert.

Snow Patrol have also just announced that they will be supporting U2 on the following tour dates:
