In an interview with the Wells Journal, Eavis confirmed that Kylie would be making
her Glastonbury Festival debut following rumours published in a tabloid paper last week.
He went on to confirm two more acts, explaining: "Those people who might come along on Sunday to
see Kylie Minogue
might not enjoy New Order
or the White Stripes, so we have something for everyone."
It now seems likely that The White Stripes and New Order
will be the other two headliners, although Coldplay are being hotly tipped for one of the slots.
Wells
Journal news editor Christian Lockyer told VF: "When I spoke to Michael he said he wanted Kylie for the
Sunday because it's the day that lots of people from the surrounding areas visit the festival, and he thought they would appreciate
seeing her. He said she would be closing the festival on the Pyramid Stage."
Doves,
Bloc Party, Athlete, Keane, and Embrace are also hotly
rumoured to be playing over the June weekend, but nothing will be definite until the full line-up is revealed about a
month before the festival.
