Drop the divining rod and fanciful folklore, the professional forecasters are on the case and, as usual, they can’t all agree which way this year's Glastonbury Festival weather will go.

Met Office

Top weather bods at the Met Office, the UK’s national weather service, are reporting a positive outlook for Glastonbury Festival. Their team have predicted a dry but cloudy week of weather, with sunny spells on Wednesday and Saturday, also the odd shower on Friday afternoon.

Met Office spokesman said: "Wednesday should be mostly dry though a little showery rain may arrive later. Thursday is set to be fine before some rain arrives on Friday. Warming up through the week."

BBC Weather

Not looking to overstate the warm weather, the BBC are forecasting a cloudy but dry time for festival-goers at Worthy Farm this week. Temperatures will remain mild throughout, peaking at highs of 20°C and lows of 11°C overnight, the weather staying cloudybut mostly dry for the duration. Expect scattered showers tomorrow (Wed, June 24) and Friday.

Reassuringly named AccuWeather, these chaps from Pennsylvania claim that every day "over a billion people" worldwide rely on them to help them plan their lives, protect their businesses, and get more from their day. With 1/7 of the world’s population trusting them everyday, they must be right?

Wednesday, June 24: Cloudy - 10-21°C
Thursday, June 25: Turning cloudy - 12-19°C
Friday, June 26: Heavy clouds - 11-20°C
Saturday, June 27: Cloudy with showers around - 14-20°C
Sunday, June 28: Passing showers - 13-19°C

The Weather Outlook

No relation of the popular email platform, The Weather Outlook have taken a more mixed approach to the forecast. They said “whilst a washout is unlikely there is a high risk of some rain during the Glastonbury period.” Note they're one of the only forecasters predicting major rain on Sunday.

Wednesday, June 24: Cloudy with sunny spells through the afternoon - 8-22°C
Thursday, June 25: Dry with sunny spells - 7-23°C
Friday, June 26: Overcast with rain overnight - 7-22°C
Saturday, June 27: Cloudy with odd showers in the evening - 9-21°C
Sunday, June 28: Showers throughout the day - 12-17°C

Why trust professional meteorology reports when you have the latest betting odds? You can always trust the bookmakers.

Betway are offering odds of 4/1 that rain will fall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the festival and odds of 12/1 for a clear forecast on the same three days. Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “Summer in England is never a guarantee of good weather and, unfortunately for festival-goers, we think that this year’s Glastonbury event could be a washout. Our advice is that if you’re in the area, remember to wear wellies.
