Experimental electronica artist and producer Flying Lotus leads the first Oya Festival announcement for the 17th edition of the festival next year. FlyLo released his fifth studio album ‘You're Dead!’ last month through Warp Records to almost universal critical acclaim.

Future Islands, Ida Jenshus, Run the Jewels, Thea Hjelmeland, Moster!, Torgeir Waldemar, Fay Wildhagen and Spectral Haze have also been announced for Norway's Oya festival.

The four day festival is Norway’s largest outdoor music festival and takes place in Tøyenparken in Sofienberg, Oslo from Wednesday 12 - Saturday 15 August 2015. The park is open from 13.00 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the festival. On the Saturday, the festival area will open one hour earlier at 12.00. Last call to enter the festival area is 22.00 every day, and the last show is at 23.00 – after that the festival area is emptied and closed.

On Tuesday 11 August, Klubbdagen (club day) will take place across the city.

Kendrick Lamar, OutKast, Slowdive, The National, Janelle Monae and Darkside all played this year’s edition of the festival.

Oya Festival tickets go on sale on tomorrow, Thursday, November 27. Oya weekend festival tickets are priced at 2534 NOK (£236) plus booking fee.
