Placebo, more announced for Hurricane and Southside Festivals

The twinned German festivals announced 39 bands today, including three acts for their White Stage: Klingande, The Toxic Avenger and Rone.

Brian Molko fronted alt-rockers Placebo lead the new announcement. The band have seven studio albums to their name and have to date sold 11 million records worldwide. Their most recent album, ‘Loud Like Love’, went Gold in Germany, despite being panned by many critics and fans.


Florence and the Machine have also been announced for the two conjoined festivals, confirming their live return after a more than two year abscence.

Farin Urlaub Racing Team, Paul Kalkbrenner, Marteria, Alt-J, Jan Delay & Disko No. 1, Cro, The Gaslight Anthem, Katzenjammer, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Parov Stelar Band, Milky Chance, George Ezra, NOFX, Alligatoah, Frittenbude, 257ers, Future Islands, The Notwist, SDP, The Cat Empire and Backyard Babies have all been announced for the festival bills.

Danko Jones, Kontra K, Olli Schulz, All Time Low, Band Of Skulls, Millencolin, Lagwagon, Lillywood, Every Time I Die, Skinny Lister and Public Service Broadcasting complete the new announcement.

Hurricane Festival takes place at the Eichenring, Scheessel near Bremen in the north of Germany and Southside Festival takes place at the Neuhausen ob Eck Airfield near Tuttlingen in the south of Germany over the same weekend, 19 - 21 June.

Early bird Hurricane and Southside festival tickets are on sale now, priced at 146 EUR (approximately £115) for Southside and 139 EUR (approx. £110) for Hurricane.
