The band, fronted by Dave Grohl, have been announced for a string of high profile European shows since their sixth studio album ‘Sonic Highways’ was released last week. Next year will mark the 20 year anniversary of the release of their debut S/T record, which was written and recorded entirely by Grohl himself – with the exception of a guest guitar spot by Greg Dulli.

Earlier today, Foo Fighters were also confirmed for Belgium’s Rock Werchter festival, which takes place later in the month, from June 25-28.

Foo Fighters will play the Sunday night at Pinkpop Festival, a festival that will return to its familiar festival site at Megaland Landgraaf from Friday 12 - Sunday 14 June next year.

Megaland Landgraaf is multi-purpose festival and event venue situated in Landgraaf, Netherlands.

The Dutch festival celebrates its 46th edition next June and is still to announce dozens of acts for the three day line-up, including two more headline acts. Previous headliners have included Metallica, The Rolling Stones and The Cure.

Pinkpop tickets are currently not on sale and are expected to go on general release sale in the new year.
