First nine acts announced for Roskilde 2015

The organisers have promised a rather specific 169 acts on the 2015 line-up, with tastes in rock, metal, hip hop, electronica and world music all catered for.

American heavy-metal band Lamb Of God will make their Roskilde Festival debut in 2015, stargazing prog-popsters Mew play their only Danish festival gig at Roskilde and hip-hop outfit Suspekt will play a late-night set on the Orange Stage.

The other acts announced today are: Rustie, Dixon, Dolomite Minor, Khaira Arby, Kronos Quartet and Tombs.


Roskilde 2015 takes place over eight days, from 27 June to 4 July, at Festivalpladsen on the edge of Roskilde in Denmark. Roskilde is a city located just 35 km from Copenhagen, and easy to reach via public transport from the capital.

The festival began in 1971 and now has eight major stages, hosting a range of artists across a spread of genres. Bob Marley, U2, Radiohead and Talking Heads have all previously played the festival, which is ran as a non-profit organisation and has raised more than 25.4 million euros for various charities since its inception.

Roskilde weekend tickets for 2015, with camping inclusive, went on sale today and are priced at DKK 1940 (approximately £204) each, subject to booking fee. A one-day tickets costs DKK 980 (£102), also subject to a booking fee.
