Mercury Rev are the third and final headliner to be announced for Green Man Festival in Wales this August, joining previous announced bill-toppers Beirut and Neutral Milk Hotel.

Released in 1998 to almost unanimous critical acclaim and given the title of album of the year by NME and Mojo, Mercury Rev's 'Deserter’s Songs' is considered one of the most influential guitar records of the nineties and the band will play it in its entirety when they play the festival in the Brecon Beacons, Wales.

Elsewhere, newly announced for the festival are Augustines, Ben UFO, Ought, The Pooh Sticks, Vancouver Sleep Clinic and H Hawkline. There will also be DJ sets from Huw Stephens, Heavenly DJs and Simian Mobile Disco.

The musical line-up is shaping up nicely and nearly completed, with the inclusion of the likes of Bill Callahan, Caribou, First Aid Kit, The Waterboys, Daughter, The War On Drugs, Anna Calvi, Sharon van Etten, Polica, Real Estate and Kurt Vile.

There's still announcements to be made shortly for the Little Folk & Somewhere, Cinema, Green Man Rising and Nature Nurture arenas.

Green Man Festival 2014 returns to Glanusk Estate, near Crickhowell, Brecon Beacons, Wales this year, taking place from 15-18 August.

The festival has a 12 year tradition of bringing together great music within this stunning and intimate festival site. You'll also be able to enjoy comedy, poetry, literature, art & science and lots of fun for those 12 and under, plus a separate area just for teens, spas, therapies, hot piping showers and local ale and cider sipping.
