The sale of Glastonbury Festival tickets that were cancelled or not paid for in full during the week-long payment period has become a yearly tradition, defined by thousands of people and their frantic refreshing and hopeless prayers. The limited number of tickets, estimated to be between 1,000 - 5,000, were made available to the public to purchase in a resale from 9am yesterday (April 28).

The completion of the sale was confirmed with this tweet from Glastonbury Festival.

Glastonbury Festival 2014 takes place from 25-29 June on Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.

Arcade Fire and Kasabian have both been confirmed as headliners of this year's festival, with a third headliner to be announced next month. More than 100 other artists have been announced for the festival, including Pixies, Paolo Nutini, Jurassic 5, Bryan Ferry, Metronomy, Elbow, Dolly Parton, Jack White and Robert Plant.
