Two ticket sale dates for the diary

The seven-day ticket payment window for those who secured a ticket with a £50 deposit last year will open tomorrow morning at 9am. After that period, any tickets which are either cancelled, refunded or left unpaid will go into a ticket resale, which will be split over two separate days.

The first opportunity to book tickets in the resale will be for those who choose to travel to Glastonbury Festival by coach with ticket and coach packages, starting from £140, going on sale at 7pm on Thursday, 24 April. 15,000 originally went on sale back in October last year so it's expected that the tickets available in the resale will be little more than 1,000.

Then will follow a resale of any unwanted general admission tickets three days later, at 9am on Sunday, 27 April. These tickets, as in the original sale back in October, will cost £210 plus a £5 booking fee (with postage by Royal Mail Special Delivery charged at £7 per order). Originally 120,000 tickets went on sale and sold out in record time last year. The resale on Sunday April 27 is expected to be extremely popular and, even if more tickets are available than in the coach packages sale, demand is expected to easily outstrip supply.
