Field Day add new names to their bill

Thurston Moore, singer, songwriter and guitarist with Sonic Youth, is to join the Field Day line-up playing on Saturday June 7. The show will precede the release of his fourth studio album and follow-up to 2011's 'Demolished Thoughts' through Matador Records. Moore joins Metronomy, Warpaint, Jagwar Ma, Fat White Family, SBTRKT, Jon Hopkins and Erol Alkan on the Saturday line-up.

The following day, featuring a special headline set from Pixies, will now include dirty rock upstarts Wytches, Future Islands and Lovepark. The Horrors, Temples, POND and Drenge have all been previously confirmed to play the Sunday June 8 at Field Day 2014.

Pixies announced yesterday news of their first album since 1991. Titled 'Indie Cindy', it's due out on April 23 and will feature the songs 'Bagboy', 'Andro Queen' and 'Blue Eyed Hexe'.

Field Day takes place at Victoria Park, Hackney, East London from 7-8 June 2014.

Doors open to the festival, still subject to license, at 12pm each day and the curfew is 10:45pm. The event is for those aged 18 years and older.

There are a very limited number of early bird tickets for Field Day on Sunday June 8, priced at £43.50, which includes a £5 booking fee.

Tickets for Saturday 7 June are available now, priced at £45 plus a £5 booking fee. Weekend tickets are also available, priced at £78.50 including booking fees.
