In a precursor to the major announcement due 7pm tonight, expected to contain news of the third and final headliner, organisers of Reading and Leeds Festivals have revealed on Twitter a handful of names for the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage and BBC Radio 1xtra Stage.

Hotly-tipped newcomers Bondax will join Andy C, Ben Pearce, Boys Noize and Flume on the line-up for the Dance Stage this August.

Giggs, Danny Brown, Joey Bada$$, Lizzo and Vic Mensa were all announced for the BBC Radio 1xtra Stage, which made its debut at the festival last year and returns by popular demand.

Reading and Leeds Festival organiser Melvin Benn told the NME last week: "As ever for us, the line-up's a mix of where popular and alternative music has been, where it is now and where it’s going next, across a real spread of genres. There’s unquestionably a rock tradition at Reading and Leeds but equally so there’s unquestionably a dance tradition at the festival and plenty of other sorts of sounds and audiences. So we try to reflect that. It’s a really strong line-up this year. We’re absolutely delighted with it."

The announcement tonight at 7pm, with full coverage live on BBC Radio One, is expected to include the third and final headliner for the August Bank Holiday weekend festival, joining Blink-182 and Arctic Monkeys. Approximately 35 others acts are also due to be announced.

Reading Festival 2014 and Leeds Festival 2014 take place over the Bank Holiday weekend in August, this year from 22 - 24 August. Reading Festival returns to its traditional home on Little Johns Farm, not far from the centre of Reading, and Leeds Festival also returns to its home of Branham Park.

Reading Festival & Leeds Festival tickets are available now, priced at £202.50 for a weekend with camping, plus booking fees. Early entry permits are £15 again and Campervan permits at £60. Details for day tickets are also expected to be announced at 7pm, stay tuned to Virtual Festivals for all the news as it comes in.

An instalment payment scheme is also available, with the first deposit just £50 and the three remaining instalments of £53.50 each due before the event.
