Hair-rock giants Aerosmith, who also headline Download Festival this June, will top the opening day of the two day event at Clapham Common, South London. Led by lips man Steven Tyler and licks man Joe Perry, Aerosmith formed in 1970 and have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide - their latest, 'Music from Another Dimension!', was released in late 2012.

British rock outfit Thunder, Seattle hard-rockers Walking Papers and guitar maestro Joe Bonamassa are also confirmed for the first ever edition of Calling Festival, taking to the stage on Saturday 28 June 2014.

The newly renamed festival will move to its new home at Clapham Common, London from Saturday 28 - Sunday 29 June 2014 and feature 20 rock and pop acts performing each days across multiple stages.

Live Nation’s Vice President of Promotions, Toby Leighton-Pope, commented: "This year is one of the most exciting on record for the Calling Festival. We’re looking forward to bringing the new look event to Clapham Common, one of London’s premiere outdoor locations. And we’re bringing one of America’s most iconic bands to headline Saturday 28 June. There’s still lots of announcements to come, including a big Sunday night headliner, and we’re excited at what’s in store."

Many more acts are still to be confirmed for the weekend event, including a headliner for Sunday 29 June. Previous ‘Calling’ headliners have included Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.

Calling Festival tickets go on sale this Friday (March 7), priced at £62.50 plus booking fee.
