Nu-metal Limp Bizkit have been announced as special guests to warm-up for The Prodigy on Friday July 4 2014.

Anthrax will also return to the festival, after last playing it in 2012 as part of the 'Big Four'. Scott Ian said: "I'm so excited for Anthrax to be a part of the biggest and best Sonisphere ever! Can't wait to destroy Knebworth again!"

Shockingly brutal death-metallers, Carnifex from San Diego will make Sonisphere 2014 their first ever UK festival show. Which will make a fun contrast against Chas & Dave who have also been announced to play the festival, returning to Knebworth for the first time since 1979 when they opened for Led Zeppelin. The duo didn't say much but made this statement: "We went down well at Knebworth in '79. Not surprised we got a return booking!"

The Devin Townsend Project, Dropkick Murphys, The Sisters of Mercy, Silverstein, Voodoo Six and The Virginmarys complete the ten new additions to the Sonisphere Festival line-up.

Sonisphere Festival takes place at Knebworth Park, near Stevenage, Hertfordshire from 4-6 July 2014.

Alice In Chains, Ghost, Gojira, Karnivool, Mastodon and Slayer have all been announced previously for the Sonisphere 2014 line-up, which also includes the three previously announced headliners: Metallica, Iron Maiden and The Prodigy.

Early bird Sonisphere Festival tickets are on sale now at a discounted rate, priced at £170 plus a £10 booking fee for a weekend ticket without camping. A weekend ticket with camping is £205, plus a £10 booking fee.
