Six new acts announced for Optimus Alive

Ohioan blues rock outfit The Black Keys will headline Optimus Alive 2014 on Friday July 11, joining previously announced Arctic Monkeys, who headline the festival on Thursday July 10.

Caribou and MGMT both join The Black Keys on the line-up for Friday (July 11), psych-electro producer Daniel Snaith returns in 2014, performing under his most well-known moniker, Caribou, as he prepares to deliver the follow-up to his 2010 hit 'Swim'.

Chet Faker, Poliça and Imagine Dragons have also been confirmed today for the three day festival which will take place from Thursday 10 - Saturday 12 July 2014 at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, Lisbon, Portugal and feature more than 90 acts playing across five festival stages.

Launched in 2007, the Portuguese festival now welcomes nearly 55,000 people every year and previous Optimus Alive headliners have included Coldplay, Radiohead, The Cure, Beastie Boys, Bob Dylan, and Metallica. The festival site is situated a mere 5 miles from the bustling capital city Lisbon, a 5 minute drive or 15 minutes away by public transport.

Optimus Alive tickets are on sale now. Day tickets are priced at £50.16 each, including booking fee. Three day tickets (without camping) are priced at £99.33 with booking fee and a three day ticket with camping is £114.51, also with booking fee included.
