Field Day revealed plans earlier this month to expand to two days at its current East London site at Victoria Park, Hackney.

Now Frank Black of the Pixies has revealed live on BBC Radio 6 Music that the band are to headline the second of the two nights on Sunday 8th of June 2014.

"You're going to get us playing our songs, that's what we do - you won't get any dancers." Francis told Shaun Keaveny, adding: "We have nice lights."

The 2013 edition of Field Day featured the likes of Animal Collective, Bat For Lashes, Four Tet, Kurt Vile and Disclosure. So far no more acts have been confirmed for Field Day 2014.

Doors open to the festival, still subject to license, at 12pm each day and the curfew is 10:45pm. The event is for those aged 18 years and older.

There are a very limited number of early bird tickets for Field Day on Sunday June 8th, priced at £43.50, which includes a £5 booking fee.

Tickets for Saturday 7th June are also available, priced at £45 plus a £5 booking fee. Weekend tickets are also available, priced at £78.50, including booking fees.
