Three new acts for Bloodstock Open Air

Amon Amarth, founded in 1992, will play the special guest slot on Sunday, supporting headliner Megadeth. Amon Amarth released their ninth studio album 'Deceiver of the Gods' in June of this year, praised for mixing "unyielding blasts of Viking brutality" with "artful melodies".

Returning to Bloodstock Open Air in 2014, Hatebreed will once again bring their furious hardcore fire, fronted by Jamey Jasta, who said today: “When I found out, I opened my window and yelled ‘fuck year, motherfucker!!!!’ My neighbor looked up at me startled, and asked what the outburst was all about.  I told him “We’re playing Bloodstock 2014!!!

The final addition today, Prong, are currently working on their ninth studio album, entitled 'Ruining Lives' and due for release in spring 2014.

Decapitated, Saxon, Crowbar, Children of Bodom, Down, Flotsam and Jetsam, Obituary and Emperor have already been announced for Bloodstock Open Air 2014.

Bloodstock Open Air 2014 takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from 7-10th August. Dozens more acts are expected to be announced in the coming months as the festival gears up for its 14th edition.

A limited number of early bird Bloodstock Open Air tickets are available now, priced at £115 (plus £7 booking fee) for a full weekend (four nights), with child tickets available at a reduced rate for those aged 11 and under, priced at £35 (plus a £4 booking fee).
