The two big beat stalwarts led the nineties post-rave dance scene and both made huge impacts in 1997 with their own seminal records, 'Fat Of The Land' for The Prodigy and 'Dig Your Own Hole' for The Chemical Brothers.

The Chemical Brothers, who play a DJ set at Snowbombing 2014, said of their announcement today: "We’re very excited to play such a unique festival, and a new one for us. We have been working on new material for a while now, so every DJ show gives us a chance to share music with people…let's have a ball."

Joining The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers atop the Snowbombing bill will be fellow British scene luminaries Chase & Status with their pumping live show, featuring cuts from their recently released forth studio album 'Brand New Machine'.

Now celebrating its fifteenth year, Snowbombing is Europe’s largest and longest standing snow and music festival, and next year takes place between 7 - 12 April 2014 in the snowy alpine town of Mayrhofen, Austria.

Rudimental are set to make their return with a DJ set in 2014, after wowing the slope-side town with two performances at Snowbombing earlier this year, and will be joined by dance ambassadors Groove Armada, who will also play a DJ set.

Elsewhere, Four Tet will perform and curate a special special forest line-up, featuring Daphni, James Zabiela, Nathan Fake (LIVE) and Anthony Naples.

Nicknamed the 'party capital of the alps’, Mayrhofen features during Snowbombing 43 restaurants and 18 bars, 14 venues and a festival crowd of just over 5,000 people. Nestled at the end of the Ziller Valley, the town is 32 kilometres south of Jenbach and offers riders 650km of piste, including Austria’s steepest piste, a 3286m glacier and an award-winning terrain park.

Snowbombing tickets are available now, prices starting from £219 for accommodation and all the entertainment.
