Super Furries Cancel Glasto & other live dates

11 June 2002
A spokesperson for the band claims that the decision was taken because the band could not find a good enough
soundman to control the band's complex live sound, after their usual man was unavailable.
Despite a stunning performance,
the band's recent support slot at the big Finsbury Park New order gig was marred with sound problems, which led to at least
one song coming to a crashing halt.
As well as a much anticipated Pyramid Stage outing at Glastonbury on Sunday, June
30th, the Super Furries will also miss a prestigious support slot with Red Hot Chili Peppers at Lansdowne Road in Dublin on
June 25.
The band will continue working on their follow-up album to last year's 'Rings Around the World' and have no plans to play any other live shows this summer.
