The three bands join the previously announced Down and Emperor on the line-up for the UK's leading metal and extreme music festival, which takes place in Derbyshire next August.

Flotsam and Jetsam are an extreme metal band who formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1981. The band lost their original bassist Jason Newsted to Metallica in 1986 and would release their second album on Metallica's label Elektra Records. Their eleventh studio album, Ugly Noise, was released last year and received considerable funding from fans through PledgeMusic.

Polish death metallers Decapitated join them in being announced for the Saturday bill, whilst Saxon are newly announced for the Sunday on the Ronnie James Dio Stage.

Bloodstock Open Air will return to Catton Hall, Derbyshire from 7-10 August 2014.

A limited number of early bird Bloodstock Open Air tickets are available now, priced at £115 (plus £7 booking fee) for a full weekend (four nights), with child tickets available at a reduced rate for those aged 11 and under, priced at £35 plus a £4 booking fee.
