Music-lovers escaping to Oxfordshire this festival season definitely won't be disappointed with headliners Noah and The Whale, Empire of the Sun and Rodriguez - not to mention appearances from some of the UK's most upcoming artists. BRIT Critics' Choice 2013 winner Tom Odell will perform hits from his number one debut, 'Long Way Down', alongside Feel The Love singer John Newman, Bombay Bicycle Club collaborator Lucy Rose and many others across the weekend.

New for 2014, the Wilderness Stage will bring a spectrum of entertainment over the weekend, from comedy to theatre to literary debates.  The new stage will feature comedians across the weekend, with appearances from the likes of Radio 1 DJ Tom Deacon, renowned stand up comedian Lou Sanders and Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer nominee Ben Target. Damian Barr's Literary Salon will visit all the way from Shoreditch House and Book Slam will bring author Ben Brooks and friends to the stage, along with a production of Shakespeare's classic comedy The Merchant of Venice from the GB Theatre Company as part of their countrywide tour.

Goodbye unhealthy fast-food vans, Wilderness upgrades the festival experience with a set of banquets across the weekend, as well as gourmet catering stands such as Paellaria, Churros Bros and The Bloomberry Juice Company. Fancy a feast away from the camping experience? The St. John Dining Tent's 'Le Grand Aioli' menu is available for lunch and dinner everyday. Thyme Cookery School will offer a hands on experience with culinary lessons across the weekend, along with Hunter Gather Cook where festival goers can forage to their heart's content and learn how to be self-sufficient in the wild.

Wilderness isn't just an opportunity to improve skills for children - although youngsters may enjoy craft workshops and The Bushcraft Company's wild survival secret camp - there's plenty for the adults too. Horse riding, archery and fly fishing are just some of the activities on offer for all festival goers, and the Lomography camera company will be on site with their iconic La Sardina cameras teaching photography rookies how to capture the magic of Wilderness.

The Great Outdoors

Ever rode a camel, played croquet or swam in a lake? There's a first time for everything at Wilderness. The lake provides endless entertainment for all with the opportunity to rent a boat, swim in the lake or fish by the side of it. A popular attraction is The Lakeside Spa, offering saunas, wood-fired hot tubs and a private lake area, complete with a champagne bar.

Wilderness 2013 takes place in Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire from Thursday 8 - Sunday 11 August 2013.
