Chvrches, the trio from Glasgow, come into TITP on the back of a top five finish in BBC Sound of 2013, an American tour and recent album launch.

Its almost a year since their very first gig, Chvrches debut at Scotland's largest festival and as the lights flash, Lauren, Iain and Martin walk on stage. Smoke fills the Transmission tent and encompass the couple of hundred inside. 'Lies' to kick off.

This synth pop instantly has the crowd infected. Lauren has deceptively strong vocals and holds the stage purpose. Lauren mocks the geographical errors of past artists this weekend. "I'm not going to say Hello, Glasgow. I know where we are."

Flanked by Iain and Martin, Lauren casts her haunting vocals over 'If We Sink'. The production values on stage are excellent. Lauren cuts a lonely figure on stage. Playing with the microphone cord, her awkward stage presence and measured distance from Iain and Martin only adds to the atmospheric and introspective tone. The synths and bass combine to make this an hypnotic performance.

Continuing with tracks from the upcoming 'The Bones Of What You Believe', 'Gun' ramps up the atmosphere and 'Silence and Vision' soars through the tent its epic finale.

'Recover' has the crowd chanting and Chrvches are in control. Martin then takes the centre stage for a powerful version 'Tide'.

'The Mother We Share' finishes the craftily composed set by Chvrches. Lauren effortlessly and emotionally moves through the verses and chorus of this beautiful track.
