Spirit of '71 line-up for Glastonbury Festival 2013 unveiled

Glade field sticks with tradition

Chris Swindells - 10 May 2013

The Spirit of '71 stage is a continuation of the idea born out of the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury in celebrating the 'spirit of idea' in the first ever Glastonbury Festival back in 1970.

The Friday (June 28) line-up will feature, amongst other, Simian Mobile Disco, Elite Force, Yousef, Stanton Warriors, Robyn Hitchcock, Slim Chance and Don Letts.

Saturday (June 29) includes Boys Noize, Mixhell, Kahn, The Correspondents, Don Johnston, Electric Swing Circus and Gypsy Hill.

Finally Sunday (June 30) will feature Eatstatic, System 7, Tristan, James Monro, Kaya Project and Cassette Boy, plus a special breakfast session with Howard Marks.

The Spirit of '71 organisers said: "The energy and vibe of the stage is not just about the electronic music that has evolved from these beginnings but is continuing the Spirit of 71 theme, lurring musical boundaries and celebrating the midsummer celebration of Glastonbury Festival."

Alongside the Sprit of '71 stage will be the Glade Lounge, which will host Dave Seaman & Friends, Master Blasters, Killerwatts, Bangface, DJ Jon Bongly, Aidan Lavelle and many more.

Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Somerset from June 26-30 2013.

Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons headline the three day festival and there are still many more acts and attractions to be announced, playing on more than 100 stages across the 1000 acre site, deep in the heart of Somerset.

All tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2013, estimated to be approximately 140,000 in number, have now all sold out and all re-sale tickets have also been sold.
