Canadian heavy metal band Voivod, from Québec, formed in 1982 and play Bloodstock Open Air for the first time this year and play the Ronnie James Dio Stage on Saturday August 10th. The band released their thirteenth studio album, 'Target Earth', on January 22, 2013.

Swedish metallers, Sabaton also step up into a main stage slot while Wolfsbane headline the Sophie Lancaster Stage on the final day of the festival.

British thrash veterans Xentrix join the second stage bill too. Their guitarist, Kristian Havard, said: "We can't wait to play Bloodstock, this is the first festival for Xentrix for over 20 years. The line-up this year is awesome, so to be included on the bill, is a massive honour.  We're going out with one mission, get the crowd thrashing like it’s 1989!"

Powerquest, Mael Merdha, Skiltron, Evil Scarecrow, RSJ, and Gormathon have also joined the line-up, which already features the three headliners Lamb Of God, Slayer and King Diamond.

Bloodstock-Open-Air Festival, now in its thirteenth year, is one of the UK’s most revered metal festivals, and takes place from August 8-11 2013, at Catton Park, Derbyshire.
