Reading and Leeds Festivals announce more for their 2013 line-up

The US pop-punk veterans from California, USA formed in 1987 and broke into the mainstream in the nineties with their third album 'Dookie', which spawned hits 'Basket Case' and 'When I Come Around'. The band will return to headline Reading Festival 2013 on Friday 23rd August and Leeds Festival on Saturday 24th August after playing a secret Reading Festival Second Stage set on the final day of the festival in 2012.

Nine Inch Nails will make their live return to UK shores for the first time since 2009 when they play their only UK shows of 2013 on Sunday at Reading Festival and Friday at Leeds Festival, the penultimate band before headliners Biffy Clyro.

Frank Turner also returns to Reading & Leeds, making 2013 his seventh consecutive year at the twinned-site festivals and returning with work from his forthcoming fifth solo record, ‘Tape Deck Heart’. Brand New, Chase and Status, Twin Atlantic, White Lies, Editors and The Lumineers also join the Main Stage bill across both festival sites.

Joining Alt-J in headlining the NME/Radio One stage will be French rock-hipsters Phoenix, who will close the stage in Reading on Sunday August 25th and play Leeds on Friday 23rd. 25-year-old dubstep producer Skrillex will play his only UK festival shows of 2013 when he headlines the NME/Radio1 Stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013.

Harlem rapper Azealia Banks, Disclosure, City and Colour, Major Lazer, A$AP Rocky, Deap Vally, Haim, Alex Clare, Tame Impala, Johnny Marr, Bastille, Imagine Dragons, Palma Violets, Modestep and Peace have also been confirmed for the NME/Radio 1 stage across three days.

Magnetic Man and electronic dance music heavyweights Knife Party will join Sub Focus in headlining the new BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage.

Wiley and UK rapper Devlin are the first confirmed headliners for another new addition, the BBC Radio 1Xtra Stage.

Fall Out Boy, Foals, Deftones, Eminem and many more have already been announced for play the festivals over the August Bank Holiday Weekend this summer. Click here to see the full Reading Festival line-up and Leeds Festival line-up

Reading Festival 2013 will take place on Richfield Avenue, Reading from 23-25 August 2013 with access to the campsite from Thursday 22nd August and early entry access from Wednesday 21st. Leeds Festival 2013 will take place in Bramham Park, Wetherby, Leeds over the same weekend with similar early access arrangements.

Reading Festival weekend tickets and Leeds Festival weekend tickets are available now, priced at £202.50 plus an £8 booking fee. Day tickets are available for £90 plus a £7 booking fee. The festivals have also introduced a £50 deposit scheme for 2013, meaning fans can guarantee a place at the bash early and pay the full balance before March 31, 2013.

Additional to these tickets, early entry tickets are available for £15.
