Hard Rock Calling first took place in 2006 and had been held every year at Hyde Park until last year when organisers Live Nation announced plans to leave the tender process for the central London site. In January this year Live Nation announced plans to host Wireless and Hard Rock Calling at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band famously had their Hard Rock Calling set cut short last year due to curfew restrictions. The band will return to finish what they started when they play Hard Rock Calling on Sunday 30 June, their third headline performance at the festival. US rockers the The Black Crowes and Alabama Shakes both join Bruce on the Sunday 30 June bill.

BRIT award winners Kasabian will make their only 2013 festival appearance when they headline Hard Rock Calling on Saturday June 29. The band will be joined by modfather Paul Weller, Miles Kane, Kodaline, The Cribs, Klaxons and Tribes.

Hamish Dodds, CEO of Hard Rock International, said: “Last year, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band made international news and history when their Hard Rock Calling encore with Sir Paul McCartney was unceremoniously cut short due to a noise curfew at Hyde Park. This summer we are giving Bruce and the band the opportunity to finish what they started and make history again with celebrated performance at Hard Rock Calling. Additionally, we are looking forward to christening Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with a Saturday lineup of some of Britain’s hottest talent, including headliner Kasabian, Paul Weller and more.”

Hard Rock Calling tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 8 March 2013. Tickets for Saturday 29 June are priced at £45 plus booking fee. Tickets for Sunday 30 June are priced at £62.50 plus booking fee. Vodafone customers can buy tickets 48 hours before they go on general sale, at 9am on Wednesday 6 March.
