Raft of new acts for Wilderness 2013

The first acts for the 2013 edition of the festival, Noah and the Whale will headline the Sunday night of the festival, bringing to a close a weekend of music, food, theatre and the literary arts.

The third edition of the festival in Oxfordhsire will also feature Empire of the Sun, making their only UK festival appearance of 2013 at Wilderness, and legendary Detroit troubadour Rodriguez, who has rocketed to notoriety following the BAFTA and Oscar winning documentary about his life, Searching for Sugarman.

Brit Award winner Tom Odell, Michael Kiwanuka, Matt Corby, Ghostpoet, Tribes, King Krule, Melody's Echo Chamber and Lucy Rose were also announced today.

Wilderness Festival takes place from 7-11 August 2013 at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire.

Shakespeare’s Globe, Petersham Playhouse and opera from Vingette Productions, will give festival-goers some unique performances against the beautiful back drop of Cornbury Park. Elsewhere on the site leading chefs Russell Norman, and his team from Polpo, Yotam Ottolenghi and Mark Hix will all be cooking up something unforgettable with their fine dining experiences.

Wilderness Festival tickets are on sale now, priced at £146.50 (including booking fee) for an adult weekend with camping and £335 for a family (two adults, two young persons). Young person (aged 11-17) tickets are priced at £68.50 and those aged 10 and under go free. A deposit scheme is also available.
