The Sheffield rockers were not expected to play any European shows this summer, so this revelation will come as a welcome surprise to their French fans, who will be treated to a preview of the bands upcoming ‘Hysteria And More’ show in Las Vegas.

Hellfest takes place in Clisson, France from June 21 - 23.

Other acts newly announced to play Hellfest are hair-metal legends Europe, Christian rockers P.O.D., Finland’s Eurovision winners Lordi, Florida death metallers Morbid Angel, and iconic punk band NOFX.

Allen, Elliot and co. will join a blistering Friday line-up featuring Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, Saxon and Helloween. Among the many other acts playing the weekend are fellow headliners ZZ Top, Stone Sour, KoRn, and Danzig, along with Bullet for My Valentine, Papa Roach, Coal Chamber and Voivod, in a line-up featuring over 150 bands.

120,000 punters are expected at the event, held in the picturesque medieval town of Clisson, in the West of France.

Tickets for Hellfest 2013 are on sale now, and are priced at 160 Euros (approximately £137) for a weekend ticket.
