The date has been long anticipated as it remains the only hope for those who did not secure tickets in the original sale on October 7th 2012, when an estimated 140,000 tickets sold out in a record one hour and 40 minutes. However it's expected only a very limited number of tickets will be available, the full number of which will not be known until the closing date for paying the remainder of the Glastonbury ticket balance has passed.

Those who put a £50 deposit down on tickets in October will have between 9am Tuesday April 2nd and 23:59 Monday April 8 to pay the remainder of the ticket balance, £155.

Anyone who decides not to pay will be refunded their deposit, minus a £10 administration fee.

Anyone aged 13 or over (when the festival starts) who wishes to buy a ticket on April 21st in the resale must be registered. Registration does guarantee you a ticket in the resale.

Each ticket sold will need to be linked to a registered person, so if you're buying for friends and family you will need to make sure they're registered ahead of April 21st.
