Roskilde Festival has already announced Queens Of The Stone Age, Volbeat, Sigur Rós, C2C, Kvelertak, Deadelus and Goat for their 2013 edition next summer.

Roskilde Festival takes place from Roskilde, Denmark from 29 June - 7 July 2013.

The festival began in 1971 and now has eight major stages hosting a range of artists across a spread of genres.

Slipknot have already confirmed a handful of festival dates for 2013, including Download Festival in the UK and Ozzfest in Japan. The band went from a nine to an eight piece in 2010 when founding member and bassist Paul Gray died from an overdose of painkillers. Since then the band have returned for live shows and even organised and played their own festival, Knotfest, in their home state of Iowa earlier this year. So far no new Slipknot material has been released since their 2008 effort 'All Hope Is Gone' but the band have returned to the studio and are believed to be demoing songs at present.

Weekend and day tickets for Roskilde Festival 2013 are on sale now. A weekend ticket is 1810 DK (approximately £196), plus booking fees, and a ‘Make An Even Bigger Difference’ weekend ticket is also available at an extra 100DK (approximately £207), all of which goes to charity projects.

Roskilde day tickets are available, priced at 670DK - 970DK, dependent on the day.
