Nottingham lad Jake Bugg can count Noel Gallagher and The Stone Roses amongst his biggest fans and he played a live show with the latter earlier this summer.

This year will mark the 8th anniversary for Ibiza Rocks, and 3rd for Mallorca Rocks, the baby sister festival. Previously the events have welcomed a variety of live acts, such as Kasabian, Bloc Party, Tinie Tempah, New Order and Dizzee Rascal.

Shane Murray, Promoter of the Rocks shows, said: “Jake played as a new artist last season when the buzz about him was just beginning and you could see that he was a very rare talent. We're excited and proud to bring him back as our opening headliner less than a year later. Given that Biffy Clyro, Plan B and Ed Sheeran have all headlined opening shows he's in pretty good company. What a way to kick off 16 amazing weeks under the Balearic stars. It feels like a really exciting time for live music and guitar music in particular again. Summer can't come soon enough.”

Gig Tickets are priced at €40 EUR plus booking fee but discounted deals with accomodation at the Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks hotel and hostel properties can be brought along with the gig ticket.

Special opening party breaks are available now, including gig ticket and five nights hotel accommodation, from £86 per person.
