Bon Jovi for the Isle Of Wight Festival 2013?

The article by the Daily Star says the band will headline the festival after playing UK stadium dates as part of the 'Because We Can' tour next June. The tour, which will offer fans tickets from just £12.50, will stop at Manchester, Birmingham, Sunderland, Glasgow and Cardiff. The band have been linked to the festival previously, however this is the first article to link the band with an island festival performance in 2013.

Jon Bon Jovi reportedly told the paper: "It's legendary so we're really glad to be a part of that."

The New Jersey band, formed by lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi in 1983, have sold more than 130 million albums worldwide and are famed for hits like 'You Give Love a Bad Name' and 'It's My Life'.

The festival suffered from its worth year of weather yet but got a glowing 9/10 review from Virtual Festivals.

Last month it was announced a local resident had called for a review of the Isle of Wight Festival licence over fears about public safety and disorder during the extreme weather that took place in 2012.
