LeeFest wins Best Independent Festival award

The second year of the awards, held by the Association of Independent Music, to celebrate all corners of the independent
music, featured live performances from Big Deal and Frankie and the Heartstrings.
The Prodigy won Best Live Act, after a year where they
headlined Download Festival, alongside Black Sabbath and Metallica.

'Ones to Watch' act Alt-J picked up 'Independent
Breakthrough Of The Year' ahead of the Mercury Prize, for which they're nominated, is announced this Thursday.
Unsurprisingly Adele won the 'PPL Award For Most
Played Independent Act' and Enter Shikari's ‘A Flash Flood Of Colour’ won
'Independent Album Of The Year'.
LeeFest picked up the gong for 'Best Independent
Festival', in its 7th year, the 2012 line-up featured Mystery Jets, Ghostpoet and Slow
Club.
