Green Day are first act confirmed for Pinkpop 2013

The band, famed for hits like 'American Idiot' and 'Minority', will headline Pinkpop
in Landgraaf, Netherlands on Sunday 16th of June 2013.
The band, who are currently promoting their first of a trilogy of albums, '¡Uno!', '¡Dos!' and '¡Tré!', have already announced they will headline London's Emirates Stadium on June 1, 2013.
Pinkpop 2013 takes place from 14-16 June 2013 in the Dutch city of Landgraaf, 134 miles from Amsterdam, near the city of Heerlen.
Tickets for Pinkpop 2013 are currently not on sale and are expected to go on sale in the new year.
The Grammy award winning band have cancelled their forthcoming performance at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience at City Park, New Orleans on October 27, just weeks after lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong headed into rehab for treatment for substance abuse.
The Cure, Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band and Kasabian are amongst the bands who played Pinkpop in 2012. Green Day are expected to announce a full string of European tour dates, including 2013 UK festival shows, with Reading and Leeds being a rumour after the band made a last minute secret appearance at Reading back in August.
