Glastonbury Festival tickets sell out in record time

2013 Glasto tickets sold in under two hours

The tickets, estimated to be approximately 140,000, sold out in one hour 40 minutes, at approximately 10:44am Sunday October 7th.

Emily and Micheal Eavis left this message to announce the sell-out:

Users had been frustrated all morning as a new, and apparently improved, See Tickets system again couldn't take the strain of people logging on to buy tickets. Thousands posted their struggles online as webpages wouldn't load and the booking page then threw them out before they could complete orders.
