The sun-soaked location, at a pyramid site set between two lakes in Playa del Carmen, will be the backdrop to an event
celebrating the momentous end of this world cycle, as decreed by the ancient Mayan civilisation.
At this moment the galactic alignment will occur, as for the first time in 25,625 years the earth will align with the centre
of the Milky Way creating a moment for transformation, renewal and change.
The 24-hour party will feature Massive Attack’s Robert “3D” Del Naja, who will
perform an exclusive set alongside UNKLE’s James Lavelle,
which will include live recreations and re-edits of Massive Attack’s music.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is set to shower the assembled
masses with his eccentric mélange of highly intelligent dance, glitter cannons and prancing dinosaurs, as he plays
for the first time in Mexico. Hot Creations legend Jamie Jones, voted number one in Resident Advisor’s 2011 poll, will
prove why he is the best DJ on the planet.
Keeping the joy bubbling over during the sunrise set will be Trentemøller.
The Danish maestro will be embracing all around with a fluid mix of eclectic music, similar to that heard on his incredible
Harbour Boat Trips compilation.
Other artists to appear include Subb-an, Metrika (live), Acid Pauli, Francesca Lombardo, Amirali
(live), Fur Coat, Thugfucker, Matias
Aguayo (live) and Maayan Nidam.
Crosstown Rebels founder Damian Lazarus said: “This is a phenomenal moment in time and there
is no way we could let it pass without hosting an amazing and unforgettable celebration. It’s going to be a moment that
our generation can latch on to that actually feels credible, poignant and special.”
