First ever 'multi-festival' event cancelled

The two-day event was due to take place in Blackpool's iconic Winter Gardens on December 8-9 this year. The festival concept was to try capture the essence of Field Day, Oya Festival, Melt!, Kendal Calling, Glastonbury Dance Village, Electric Elephant, End of The Road, DFA Records and SWN Festival, amongst others, in the Winter Gardens by inviting each festival to curate their own space in their own style and sound.

Festival promoter Richard Cassar said: "It is with sadness that we will not be proceeding with One of These Days as planned on Dec 8/9th 2012.
 
"There was an unexpected change in the structure of the business which has left us financially unable to deliver the event to the level we wanted for 2012.

"All the guest festival curators have been very supportive and there is still a lot of goodwill for the event to happen so we still trying to work out a solution for 2013.

All ticket buyers can get full face value refund from point of purchase."

No acts had been confirmed for the festival.
