With just over a month to go before tickets go on sale, it’s been revealed that Glastonbury 2013 tickets will cost £216 (£205, plus £5 booking fee per ticket and £6 postage & packing per order) each. Entry for children aged 12 and under will remain free.

As previously announced, Glastonbury 2013 tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday 7 October, and Virtual Festivals will have all the ticket links you need then.

As with the last few years, anyone wishing to buy a ticket for the festival will have to register in advance. Registered would-be ticketbuyers will then be able to reserve them using the deposit scheme at a price of £50 per ticket. No option will be available to pay for a ticket in full then.

The remaining ticket balance will then need to be paid from 9am on Tuesday 2 April until 11:59pm on Monday 8 April, when there will also be options to book anything else you require (such as tipis, camper van tickets or parking).

International ticket balance payments will be taken from 9am Monday 25 February until 11:59pm on Sunday 3 March 2013.

A car park ticket will be priced at £25, and a camper van ticket priced at £85, with both available to buy next spring.

Prices and further details regarding other transport options, including combined coach and festival tickets, will be confirmed early in 2013.

Registration is open now and free of charge, and can be done by heading to and filling in your details and uploading a photo of yourself, which will be printed on the ticket. You’ll be able to buy up to 8 tickets per transaction, but every would-be ticketholder will need to be registered individually.

If you have registered to buy tickets to the Festival before, you may well still be registered, as you now only need to do it once, and you can also now edit the details of your existing registration (for example if you need to change your address) on the site.

Registration for Glastonbury Festival 2013 closes on 30 September.

Glastonbury Festival 2013 takes place on 26-30 June 2013 at Worthy Farm, Pilton.

Festival organiser Michael Eavis recently said all three headliners had already been booked for the festival, but declined to name names.

Acts rumoured to be playing next year include The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Adele, Kasabian, Fleetwood Mac, Florence & The Machine, Bon Iver and Arctic Monkeys, while Metallica have spoken of their desire to play at the event.
